Chapter One - Save You
Joe's P.O.V
I opened my eyes just to see the love of my life,Miley, laying on the hospital bed, dying
slowly due to leukemia. I touched her hand while caressing the top of it with my thumb.
every time I look at her, I feel like my heart's breaking into pieces as it shatters to the
ground. I know I have to face the fact that she's going to leave me sooner or
later.Whenever I see her in pain, I want to cry my eyes out,I want to help her with all I
could...but I can't. If I could just take away the pain she's been going through,l would but
I know I can't. I took her hand and rest in on my cheek,while looking at her,sleeping. I
turned to my other hand for me to know what time is it,"11:23." I sighed and turned back
at staring at her until I felt her finger lingering onto my cheek.I leaned down and kissed
her forehead as I whispered,"go to sleep,my love, you need the rest."I leaned back up
caressing the top of her hand while I stroke her hair slowly. She nodded her head a bit as
she drifted back to sleep. A little while later, I slowly pulled my hand away from her hair
but then I noticed that there's some of her hair tangled on my fingers. When I saw her
hair tangled on my fingers, I wanted to cry, but I know I can't cause I need to be strong
for her, I don't want her to see me crying for her, nor see me in pain. I quickly took her
hair out of my hand and dropped it on the floor. I rest my head on the side of her bed
without letting go of her hand,slowly drifting to sleep.
[ At 4 in the morning ]
[ Joe's P.O.V ]
My eyes shoot open when I heard someone screaming my name,I looked over at Miley
who was crying and screaming. I quickly stood up and grab her hand,worried and afraid of
what might happened."sweetie calm down,I'll call them,just hold on okay?"I let go of hand
as I rushed out of the room and yelled as loud as I can"HELP ME PLEASE!"I felt tears
choking out of my eyes while running back in and towards Miley,grabbing her hand,holding
it tightly while more tears fall out of my eyes."Miley,they'll be here,just stay put,please..."I
heard the doctors and nurses rushing in,and one of the nurses told me to stay outside so
they could do some tests on Miley.At first I shook my head but by the second the nurse
tugged onto my arm,I gradually lose my grasp on Miley,as I head out of the door. The
nurse shut the door as I started to pace back and forth outside Miley's room,worried while
I choke out more tears.I took my phone out of my back pocket,trembling.Gladly I managed
to dial Kevin's number.At first I thought Kevin wasn't going to answer until I heard a hello
from him."Kevin get here in the hospital,Miley--"before I finished my sentence,Kevin
replied,"we'll be there."I heard the line gone off so I figured out he hung up on me.
Twenty minutes later, I saw Kevin, Nick ,Demi and Selena running towards me.As soon as
they reached me, Demi, my sister,quickly hugged me as she started to bawl.Nick managed
to ask me,"How is she?what happened?is she okay?wh--"I cut him off by shaking my
head.He looked down,softly crying. Nick's Miley's best friend and I knew he's really worried
by now. Selena, my cousin,was crying her eyes out as she runs up to Kevin,wrapping her
arms around his waist.
Two hours later,we were sitting down waiting until the doctor stepped out of Miley's room
looking at his clipboard,then he looked up,asking,"Family and friends of Ms.Miley Cyrus?"
We quickly stand up as I spoke " I'm her boyfriend,How is she?".The doctor gave me sign
to follow him, and I did,but every step I was making, I felt fear taking over me...

Chapter 2 - Please Don't Leave Me
Joe's P.O.V
When the doctor gave me a sign to follow him, I felt fear taking over me as I started to
walk after him.I don't even know why I was feeling like this, but whatever this thing is, it's
killing me inside. When the doctor opened the door to his office, he turned to look at me
and told me to go in. At first, I was confident as I entered his office,but by the time I sat
down on the chair across his table, I felt scared and worried about what he was about to
say. He closed the door behind him and sat down on his chair as he looked at
me,sympathetically. When I saw the sad look on his face, I felt my heart dropped down in
the pit of my stomach.
End Of Joe's P.O.V
Dr.Hummers - *looks at him sadly*"Mr.Jonas, I'm really sorry, we've done all we've
could but..."*he looks down* "we don't know if we can still save Ms.Cyrus"*he slowly looks up at Joe,waiting for his reaction*
Joe - *when he heard those words,he felt his world crashing down. His girl, the love of his
life,will be leaving him in just a few months.He can't take it, he quickly snapped by leaning on the doctors desk then grabs the doctor's collar,pulling him towards him,anger filling every part of his body*" What do you mean by you can't save her!? You need to save her, it's your job"*but then he get into his senses and let's go of the doctor while he burst into tears. He then whispers*"please...save her...I...I need her in my life..."*He can't take it anymore so he runs out of the doctor's office and back to Miley's room,sobbing uncontrollably*
( When Joe reaches Miley's room )
Nick - *quickly stands up, his eyes, bright red and puffy due to all the sobbing he had done. He managed to choke out words*"What did the doctor said?"*he asked curiously*
Joe - *looks at Nick while tears streaming down his face,he then looks down while more tears fall*
Nick - *After seeing Joe's facial expression, he already knew what the doctor just told him so he quickly shut his eyes closed,letting fresh tears fall right out of his eyes*
Demi - *By just looking at his brothers,she knew what was happening,so she wraps her arms around Nick's waist,resting her head on his back while she cries softly*
Joe's P.O.V
After two minutes, I got a hold of myself from crying and as soon as I stopped myself from
letting tears fall out of my eyes I then entered Miley's room. I saw her laying on the bed,
sleeping peacefully. I approached her and grab a hold of her hand, caressing the top of it
with my thumb. I leaned down and kissed her soft lips gently, her lips was like
marshmallows,soft and sweet,but I know I should pull away so I did. I pulled a chair
beside Miley's bed and sat on it as I continue to caress her hand. I leaned down and rest
my head on the side of her bed while I slowly drift to sleep, shutting everything around
me. A while later, I heard the door creaked so I assumed that someone went in, so I
slowly opened my eyes turning to the door,at first I thought it was just Nick or Kevin or
Demi, but to my surprise, it wasn't. It was my "girlfriend"Taylor standing by the
door,furious...

Chapter 3 - Afraid
Joe's P.O.V
As soon as I saw Taylor, I quickly raised up from my seat, automatically letting go of Miley’s hand. She
quickly walked up to me and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the room, desperately.
I let her pulled me out of my room and as soon as we stepped out of Miley’s room, I closed the door
Behind me gently so Miley wouldn’t be disturbed.” What are you doing in that bitch’s room?!” she
yelled, anger taking over her. Before I could respond, she slapped me with the back of her hand. I
Couldn’t take this anymore, I thought to myself. Taylor’s my ex-girlfriend but she still acts like she still is. My mom likes
her because they’re richer than Miley. I know, my mom’s desperate. But gladly my dad isn’t, in fact he prefers Miley to be with me than Taylor because Miley’s sweet, thoughtful, kind, or should I say,
PERFECT. As soon as I got back to my senses, I noticed Taylor raising her hand, ready to hit me again, but
gladly, before her hand could reach my cheek, Demi grabbed Taylor’s arm and twisted it around her
back, as she pushed her to the ground. I was amazed on how good my sister was. Then I noticed Demi
turning to the bodyguards, nodding her head. The bodyguards grabbed both Taylor’s arms, pulling her up as they
head out of the hospital, but before they could even reach the door, Taylor yelled,” your bitch is going to
die, Joe! She’s hopeless!” The moment I heard Taylor said those words, I felt myself running after Taylor,
ready to beat her with all I could. I never felt this mad before, but by the words she told me, I knew
nobody can’t stop me, NOBODY. I heard Nick and Kevin calling out my name but I ignored them and I
continued to chase after Taylor. I don’t care if she’s a girl, I just want to beat the hell out of her and
make her regret those things she just said. I ran out of the hospital, looking out for Taylor until I saw 3
Figures walking towards the limousine. It was raining hard outside but hell I didn’t care. I ran after them,
letting the rain hit me. As soon as I reached the limousine, I saw Taylor getting in but before she steps in
the car, I grabbed her wrist pulling her onto me, as I raised my hand ready to hit her, but I heard Demi
yelled,” JOE STOP!” I looked at Taylor, afraid that I was going to hit her, and then I turned to Demi who
was pointing at a window, where Miley, my Miley, was staring down at me, with a frightened look on
her face. I quickly dropped my hand while letting go of Taylor’s wrist as ran back in the hospital not
caring about anything around me. As soon as I reached Miley’s door, I opened it slowly hoping It was my
conscience back then, but to my surprise, it wasn’t. I saw Miley at a corner, her knees in front of her,
rocking herself. I took a step forward, but she backed away and looked at me, frightened and that just
made my heart drop.

Chapter 4 - Please Forgive Me
[ Joe's P.O.V]
As soon as I stepped in front of her, she started to cry while backing up on a wall. With
that, I felt my heart dropped in the pit of my stomach while it shatters into a million pieces
as I felt tears building up on the corners of my eyes. My girl,afraid of me, how could this
happened? I was just protecting her but I'm sure she doesn't know that after all she
wasn't there to see it all. " Miley, I'm sorry, I didn't meant to, I wasn't thinking..." I
whispered,tears rolling down my cheeks.She replied," I don't know what to think of you
anymore,Joe. she's a girl, how could you hurt a girl,well almost hit her but that was
inappropriate." as soon as I heard those words, I quickly pulled her into a hug as I buried
my face onto her hair.I then whispered," please don 't lose your trust on me, I never
meant to, I was just caught off guard when she told those mean things to you.you know I
don't want anybody throwing false statements on you, so please my love,don't hate me..."
Miley then pulled away and looked at me,her face was pale and skinny but for me,she's
still perfect." I understand.I'm sorry if I misjudged you my baby, it will never happen
again...but please,get a hold of yourself, I don't want seeing you violent or anything."She
said,while wiping the tears out of my cheeks with the pad of her thumbs. I put my hand on
hers as I take it off of my cheek then kissed the palm of her hand and put it back on my
cheek again,wanting to feel her irresistible touch against my skin.

I carried her back on the bed so she could take a rest as I pulled a chair beside her
and took a seat on it while I took her hand,caressing it with the pad of my
thumb."Joe?"she weakly whispered,more of a mumble but I heard her.I looked at Miley
then I spoke "yes,my love?" I asked." please sing to me our favorite song." she
requested,eager in her tone. I smiled, " for you my baby." I answered. I started to
sing when you look me in the eyes. from all of my compositions, that was her favorite
one,wanna know why? I'll tell you.my brothers and I were on a band back then...well
until now. I met Miley at party in San Diego, she's a concert pianist but that's not the
reason how I met her. My brothers were too lazy to come with me at a party where
all musicians are invited so I was forced to bring Demi that time when I went to the
party. It was too crowded at the party that I lost sight of Demi so I decided to grab
something to drink and when I started to walk up to the island counter, I saw this girl
sitting all alone at a table,watching with loneliness in her eyes. I was amazed by her
features that I tripped onto a chair in front of me and well that caught her attention.
She gracefully stood up from her chair and walked towards me and as soon as she
reached me,she quickly grabbed my hand,pulling me up. I stood up quickly but then I
lose my balance so I fell down again, with her on top of me. I smiled nervously, afraid
that she might slap me or something but in my surprise, she didn't. in fact she just
giggled and smiled down at me.I felt myself laughing with her.She gets off of me as
she took my hand again and helped me up. I smiled at her and asked who she was
and she replied " It's Destiny, but please call me Miley." her voice was so beautiful, so
pure and angelic.She then asked me my name and I replied,"it's Joe...short for
Joseph." She smiled at me,her smile was so perfect that I felt myself smiling back and
that's when I met the girl of my dreams. My thoughts soon got interrupted when I
heard Miley coughing really badly.I looked at her and when she took her hand off of
her mouth, I saw blood all over her hand...

Chapter 5 - Pain Before Pleasure

up,grabbing some tissues from the drawer and wiped the blood off of her hand. She
looked at me,with tears in her eyes.

Joe - *he looked at Miley who's now about to cry so he quickly cups her face in between his hands*hey hey hey,don't cry,be strong. I know it hurts but you know this will all end...*he plants a kiss on her fore hand and hugs her*
Miley - *she lets a tear escape as she buries her face *
Joe - * he knew that all those words he just told miley was true...all of these will end...*
Miley - *she cries softly and soon she falls asleep on Joe's chest*
Joe - *he slowly lays miley back down on her bed and sits back on his chair.He then takes her hand and starts stroking it with the pad of him thumb*

I know sooner or later Miley would leave me and I don't want to happen but it's God's will.
I just want to be with her a little bit longer,and with that,something just came to me....
[A little While Later]
Joe - *walks back in Miley's room and sees she's now awake,eating her breakfast*
"hey Sweetheart"*he walks over to her bed and kisses her on the cheek*
Miley - *she smiles,putting her fork down*"hey...where have you been?"[She asked,weakly]
Joe - *he smiles and takes her tray down on the ground and sits her up*"well...something just came to me and I'm not really sure if this thing will work out,but I'm hoping it will"[he smiles at her]

Chapter 6 - I Do Before I Die
Joe-*he pulls out a small white box out of his pocket and kneels down on one knee*"it's this..."[he looks at her]"Destiny Hope Cyrus,Will you marry me and be with me forever?"
Miley - *speechless*
Joe - *he looks at her*"Miley?"
Miley - *she gets tears in her eyes as she nods slowly*"I will marry you"
Joe - *he smiles and stands up,taking her hand in the process and slides the ring on her finger then kisses the top of it*"I love you"[he kisses her]

Miley - *sleeping*
Joe - *laying his head on the edge of Miley's bed,holding her hand*
Nurse - *walks in to check on Miley.SHe walks over to the monitor to check on Miley's heartbeat.Her eyes widens and runs out shouting code red,code red*
Joe - *wakes up when he hears the nurse shouting.He rubs his eyes then looks at Miley*Miles?
Miley - *not responding*
Joe - Miley,wake up.It's time for dinner.*he touches her cheek and starts rubbing it,but it feels so cold.*Miley...wake up...Miley...
Miley - *still not responding and just drops her hand*
Joe - *his eyes widens*NO MILEY WAKE UP! CMON !WAKE UP!*he quickly hugs her,letting tears fall down*

After two hours
Joe - *in the waiting room,staring blankly at the room Miley's in*
Nick - *he was sobbing the whole time.His own best friend, is on the verge f dying and he can't do anything but cry his eyes out.*
Demi and Selena - *on each others arms crying*
Doctor - *walks out of the room,looking down*Mr.Jonas?

Joe - *stands up with Nick,Demi and Selena*we are and I'm his boyfriend...how is she?

Doctor - *looks at him* let's talk in my office...*they head in his office*Mr.Jonas...Ms.Cyrus' suffering from 3rd stage leukemia
Joe - *he felt tears rolling down his cheek as his voice cracks*w...what?
Doctor - Ms.Cyrus has cancer and se only have a few months to live....

Doctor - Mr.Jonas....Ms.Cyrus is dying...she only has a few moments before she pass away...

Doctor - I'm sorry,sir but we couldn't do anything, the cancer cells killed the cells that helps Ms.Cyrus to live but sadly,there's only a few of it left...
Joe - *he quickly runs out of the office and into Miley's room before it's too late.He stops dead on tracks when he sees his fiance on the bed,lifeless*
Doctor - *runs in after a few seconds*Ms.Cyrus won't wake up anymore,Mr.Jonas.She can still hear you but it's hard for her to wake up anymore...I'm sorry...*he walks out of the room*
Joe - *he walks up to Miley's bed,tears running down his cheeks.He grabs a hold of her hand and kisses the palm of her hand,letting tears fall down her hand*Miley...don't leave me...please...I thought we're going to get married in the church,we'll have lots of children and we'll be living near your favorite place,the beach.just...just wake up for me,please...*he breaks down crying*
Miley - *doesn't respond*
Nick - *he takes a peek on the door frame and sees Joe crying,he knew what was happening all along since the doctor explained what Miley's going through right now.As soon as he saw his brother crying his eyes out,he bursts into tears also.His own best friend will be leaving them in a few moments and he cant take that.He leans his head on the wall,as he starts to cry*
